How to Install Adobe Reader Without AIR
Adobe Reader is Adobe's free software that allows you to view its portable document format (PDF) files. Adobe Reader is not associated directly with Adobe AIR, though they can be installed in conjunction. Adobe AIR is a new multimedia, cross-operating-system platform for web-based software development. Adobe Reader can exist independently and offline, so you can access PDF files as long as you have a Windows system. Apple's Mac operating system requires Adobe AIR to be downloaded and installed to run Adobe Reader.
