How to Change a Paper Tray
If you frequently use two different paper types for printed documents it may serve you to have a second paper tray for your printer. For example, if your business correspondence often runs to two or more pages you print the first page on letterhead and the subsequent pages on matching plain paper. Small printers for home or small offices often do not have the capacity for two paper trays inserted simultaneously. In this case you must either replace the paper in one paper tray each time or keep a second paper tray loaded with the second paper stock ready to insert.

Tips & Warnings
Check your printer user manual for specifics on changing the tray in your particular printer.
Use the second paper tray for different sizes of paper as well as different styles of paper.
Adjust the settings in your document for the type of paper the page will print onto.
When you are finished, do not forget to put the first tray back into the printer so that it is ready for the next document. Follow the same procedure to put the first tray back into the printer.
It is a good idea to fan the paper before loading it into the paper tray. This keeps the paper from sticking together and being taken up two sheets at a time into the printer.
Store your extra tray on a flat surface. Do not stack anything on top of it.
