How to Register a Domain Name in Thailand
Registering a domain name in Thailand will allow you to build a business or non-profit website related to the country. It will only take you a few minutes to register, but you will need to choose the correct registrar, as not all of them are licensed to sell Thai domain names.

1
Choose a registrar that can sell Thai domain names. A few to consider are Thainic, 101 Domain and SiamNet.
-
2
Choose the type of Thai domain that you would like to use.The variations of domain name extensions in Thailand include ."th," "co.th," ".in.th," ".net.th," ".or.th," ".ac.th," ".go.th" and ".mi.th." Each one of these domain types has different requirements and regulations surrounding it (see References). For instance, to own a ".co.th" or ".in.th" name, you will need to have a registered company with that name in Thailand. Names with the ".or.th" extension are reserved for non-governmental organizations (NGO) working in Thailand.

3
Type in the domain name that you want and click "Search." Wait for about thirty seconds; the engine will let you know if the name is taken or not. If it is, then you will need to do another search. Remember to check the requirements surrounding domain names, because even if a particular name is available you may not be able to register it if you or your company don't meet the requirements.

4
Pay for the domain. You can use a Visa Mastercard, American Express or Paypal. Enter your card details along with your billing address, create a user name and password, and click "Submit." As of 2010, a Thai domain costs between $60 to $70 per year. Once the payment is completed, you will also need to provide details for an administrative and technical contact.
