Do it Yourself Divorce Papers in Mississippi
Mississippi's family law statutes govern Mississippi divorce actions. The divorce paper required to initiate the proceedings is a "Bill of Complaint of Divorce." The spouse filing the complaint is the "complainant"; the spouse receiving the complaint is the "defendant." After completing the Bill of Complaint for Divorce, the complainant must deliver a copy to the defendant and file a copy in a Mississippi Court of Chancery.
