How to Turn Off the Tablet PC Input Panel in Vista
All versions of Windows Vista, besides Home Basic, include the option to add a tablet. Tablet PC input uses character recognition, allowing the user the actually write their input on a tablet, using a digital pen. The information can then converted to text or used in digital graphics or note-taking software. If you are not using a tablet, disabling the tablet PC input will free CPU resources, allowing your computer to operate faster.
