How to Install a Bluetooth Card in a Dell
A standard configuration of Dell computers usually does not include an integrated Bluetooth card. Installing one by yourself is a fairly easy task. The respective card will improve the capabilities of your computer, by enabling it to communicate with other Bluetooth devices.

Unplug your Dell computer from a power source. Turn over the laptop so that its back is facing upwards.

Locate the compartment where the battery is stored. Slide the release button and remove the cover. Take out the battery by pulling it upwards.

Look for the compartment for the wireless PC card, on the side wall of the compartment. Take a screwdriver and gently open the plastic cover and take out the holder.

Pull on the Bluetooth cable gently and connect it to the Bluetooth card. Insert the card into the respective holder and close it up.

Take the battery and place it inside its compartment, sliding up the release button.

Attach the power cord to the laptop and plug it into the power source. Turn on the computer.

Click on the Start button and go to the Control Panel. Click on the "Bluetooth Devices" tab, in the Control Panel window. Click on the "Add" button to start the Add Bluetooth Device Wizard.

Mark the box next to the "My Device Is Set Up and Ready to be Found" command. Click on the command labeled "Next." Select and click on the installed Bluetooth card, among the given choices, and click on the command "Add."

Tips & Warnings
Do not try to install the Bluetooth card while the computer is turned on. This may cause your laptop to malfunction.
To avoid electrostatic discharge touch the back panel on your computer periodically, since this is a metal surface.
