How to Make a VCD With Nero
A video compact disc is a disc that contains content in a video format. You may take a blank CD and convert it into a VCD in a couple of steps. Nero Burning ROM is the application you should do this in. The programs guides you each step of the way and makes the job very simple. If you do not have this program installed, download a free trial version off the Internet.

Turn on your computer. Click on the Start button and then choose Programs. As the drop menu appears you should click on Utilities. Follow the route as the drop menus appear Utilities > Nero > Nero OEM > Nero Express.

Select the Videos/Pictures category in the selection field at the upper part of the Nero Express window. Move the cursor to the right, to see the drop menu and click on the Super Video CD option.

Click on the Add button in the upper right corner of the My Super Video CD screen. Browse through the directory to locate the files that you wish to convert. Mark the file and click on the Add button. Or simply drag and drop the file into the blank space on the window.

Add all the files in the same manner. When you've finished adding your files, click on the Next button at the bottom left corner of the screen.

Click on the Next button in the bottom right corner as the My Super Video Menu window appears. If you wish to change the menu, do this by opting to change the layout, the background or the text. Do this by clicking on the respective buttons and set the settings as default. Click on the Next button.

Select the burning device from a drop menu in the first field on the top of the Final Burn Settings window. Enter the name of the disk in the field below. Opt for a writing speed, clicking on one from the drop menu. Define the number of copies you wish to make in the last field.

Click on the Burn button in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Tips & Warnings
Use a CD-R to burn your files, since it is compatible with the greater number of DVD devices.
Some devices may not accept the burnt version of the VCD disk.
