Not quite coffee; Java is a scripting language that allows for dynamic web content.

JavaScript is an object-oriented scripting language that allows interaction between page content, the browser, and the input or actions of the reader. JavaScript is used to program Internet games, polls, and other interactive web content. Unlike Java, JavaScript is text-based, and must be run through a browser, embedded within HTML copy. By default, Mozilla Firefox (the pre-packaged Internet browser for Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex 8.10) does not come with JavaScript support. Therefore, you must install Java on your own.
