How to Look Up a MAC Address on a Network
The Media Access Control (MAC) address on a home network is a unique identification number that is assigned to the networking equipment inside your computer. Unlike an Internet Protocol (IP) address, which is an identifying number that changes often, MAC addresses change infrequently. If you want to find the MAC address on your home network, look at the specific settings of the device that is connecting your computer to that network in the first place.
