How to Bridge a Network in Windows 2003

Windows Server 2003 is an operating system, developed by Microsoft, allowing small to large businesses to set up office networks. Windows Server 2003 gives businesses numerous networking features, including data storage services, printing and information protection, among countless others. Another feature of the operating system, which is also found in other versions of Windows, is the ability to bridge connections, allowing two or more networks to share data, such as an Internet connection.

      Click "Start" in the lower-left section of the screen.

      Choose "Control Panel" to open a new window with various options.

      Select "Network connections" from the Control Panel options list.

      Select the two networks that you wish to bridge in the "Network connections" screen. You can do this in two ways: by clicking and dragging the mouse over the two connections or by holding the "Ctrl" key while single-clicking each connection.

      Bridge the networks by right-clicking either selected connection, then choosing "Bridge connections" from the pop-up menu.
