How to Install a Flash Media Player
A Flash media player enables computer users to view animations and movies in a browser window. One of the most popular Flash media players available is distributed by Adobe Systems Incorporated. The Adobe Flash Player is free to download and use and is considered widely acceptable for viewing media on various websites across the internet. The Flash media player is downloaded as a plug-in that can be used for browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Safari.

Access Adobe's website. Click the "Get Adobe Flash Player" button.

Select your operating system from the dropdown menu, then click "Continue." Select the flash media player vision you want to download.

Uncheck the "Free Google Toolbar" box if you do not want to download it with the flash media player.

Click "Agree and install now." Click "Install" and wait for the installation to complete. Click "Done" in the "Download Manager" when the installation is finished.

Tips & Warnings
If you are using Internet Explorer, you may need to click the yellow information bar at the top of the window after clicking the installation button for the Flash media player. Click the yellow information bar, then select "Install ActiveX Control." Click "Continue," then "Install" to install the Flash media player. You may be required to exit your browser and close other programs before installation begins. Adobe Flash Player notifies you when updates are available for the product. Failing to install updates could affect the performance of the plug-in.
