How to Become a Bail Bondsman in Nevada thumbnail
A bail bondsman guarantees the accused will show up for trial.

A bail bondsman provides security in the form of a bond. This allows the accused to remain free, promising to return for his court hearing. In return, the accused pays a fee to the bail bondsman. If the accused shows up for the hearing, then the bail bondsman gets to keep the fee paid for the bond (usually 10 percent). If the accused fails to show, then the bail bondsman is responsible for paying the entire amount of the bail.
