How to Adjust Fiskars Razor-Edged Soft-Touch Scissors
The Fiskars brand of scissors--easily recognized by their orange plastic handles--is used extensively by hobbyists and professionals who enjoy sewing, scrapbooking and even gardening. Like all types of Fiskars scissors, the Fiskars Razor Edge Softouch scissors are easy to use and adjust. While most owners of Fiskars scissors will find them ready to use directly out of the package, your erogonomic Softouch scissors may need adjustment if they fail to open smoothly or make clean cuts.

Locate the screw that attaches the two scissor blades together--at the junction of the two blades.

Loosen or tighten this screw with the screwdriver as necessary.

Order a complimentary replacement spring from the Fiskars customer service department.

Set the blade-locking mechanism in the open position.

Loosen the screw that holds the blades and handles together completely with the screw driver and remove the defective spring that is between the spring-action handles.

Insert the new spring by reversing the removal process. Tighten the screw to restore the Fiskars Softouch scissors to their normal operation.
