How to Format a Memory Card on a Sony Ericsson

Format the memory card in your Sony Ericsson phone.

Many Sony Ericsson mobile phones are compatible with memory cards. A memory card provides additional storage space that can be removed at any time. Sometimes, memory cards become corrupt and need to be formatted. Formatting a memory card removes all files and restores the card to its original state. This can be done quite easily.

• USB cable

Instructions

1. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable.

2. Select "File Transfer Mode" on your phone.

3. Go to "My Computer" where you will see a folder for your memory card drive. RIght-click on the folder and select "Format."

4. Click "OK" to confirm the process, and wait for it to complete.

5. Right-click on the memory card drive again and select "Eject." It is now safe to disconnect your phone from the computer.
