Tips & Warnings
Study hard during your undergraduate career if you want to be admitted to dental school. Dentistry programs are extremely competitive, so you will want to have the best grades possible in order to give yourself an advantage over others.
Before deciding to become a dentist you should think long and hard about whether or not the career is right for you. Dentistry requires the unpleasant task of working on unhealthy mouths, gums and teeth and can be tedious work at times. Additionally, if you want to operate your own dental practice you will need entrepreneurial skills to succeed.
