How to Change System Folder Icons
An icon for a computer is an image that represents a file, folder or program. When the icon is clicked the represented folder or program will open or launch. Any icon, including a folder icon, can be changed in Windows 7. Windows 7 comes with many different icon options. If you wish to use your own image as an icon, make sure the image is formatted as an ICO file. There are many websites that can reformat the image if necessary (see Resources).
