How to Rip DVDs to MOV Files
DVDs save all of their playback content within DVD Video Object (VOB) files. When you rip a VOB file off a DVD, you may wish to play it in Mac applications like QuickTime Player and iTunes. In order to make this possible, you need to convert your VOB file into a format the applications can understand, such as the QuickTime Movie (MOV) file format. There are many online conversion sites that can change VOB files into MOV files for free.
