How to Make Spiced Almonds

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/4 c. sugars
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oils
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp. Cointreaux
  • 3/4 lb. whole blanched almonds
  • 1 tbsp. melted unsalted butters

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves

  • 3/4 lb. whole blanched almonds
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oils
  • 2 tbsp. Cointreaux
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/4 c. sugars
  • 1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp. melted unsalted butters
  1. Step 1

    Whisk the oil, Cointreau, butter and sugar together in a bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Add the nuts and let marinate for 15 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  4. Step 4

    Spread out the nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with foil.

  5. Step 5

    Toast the nuts 25 minutes or until golden.

  6. Step 6

    Mix the vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in a bowl. Toss the hot nuts in the mixture to coat and then sprinkle with salt.

  7. Step 7

    Spread the nuts out on paper towels to cool completely.

Tips & Warnings
  • Prepare these up to 2 days in advance and store in an airtight container at room temperature.
