How to Patent an Idea or Design

If you have an idea for a new product or better design for something, you should patent your idea to protect it. Patents protect ideas from being stolen and prove who created the design or concept used in the production of a product or service. Patenting an idea can be a long process, though it is worth it if your idea is salable and purchased by a distributor or manufacturer.
