Open your browser and enter the URL of a web-based proxy like Hide My Ass or Proxify (see Resources). Hide My Ass also provides a list of free proxies on its site (see Resources).

In the address bar on the proxy page, enter the URL of the website you wish to visit.

Browse normally on that website, but be patient; using the proxy means everything will be slower to load.

Purchase a proxy server that requires installation on your computer, if you really want to cover your online tracks.
