How to Install an HP Office 7310 Printer

The HP OfficeJet 7310 All-in-One printer is a multifunctional printing device that lets you scan, copy and fax in addition to print documents. The HP OfficeJet 7310 is also categorized as an HP 7300 series printer. Therefore, a model-specific driver is not necessary for the installation, as one software driver applies to all printers in this particular HP series. The HP 7300 series software driver is the dominant component for making the HP OfficeJet 7310 functional with your computer.

Instructions

1. Access the HP OfficeJet 7300 series Software and Driver Downloads page (see Resources).

2. Select your computer operating system within the drop-down menu items, and click "Next." The HP OfficeJet 7300 product page will display a collapsible menu at the bottom of the page containing download links and other essentials for the 7300 series. (See the Warnings section if your operating system isn't displayed within the drop-down menu.)

3. Double-click "Drivers (1)" in the collapsible menu at the bottom of the HP 7300 series product overview page. Download the HP OfficeJet 7300 series executable file to begin the HP 7310 printer's setup.

4. Select the "Run" option in the HP OfficeJet 7300 series executable file download box. Open the file to access the HP 7300 series setup application. This will bring up the HP hardware installation wizard.

5. Click "Next" in the HP hardware installation wizard welcome screen, and accept the user license agreement terms and conditions.

6. Follow the HP hardware installation wizard instructions to complete the setup. The hardware installation wizard will prompt you to connect the HP OfficeJet 7310 printer to the computer via USB cable. All of the printer's software drivers will then be copied and installed to your computer from the executable file download.

Tips & Warnings

• If your operating system is not listed, the HP 7310 printer is not compatible with your system. Your operating system must be up to date to run the HP OfficeJet 7310 printer's software drivers properly, as it is a newer generation of HP hardware.
