How to Activate Windows 7 Ultimate Build 6801

Windows 7 is an operating system for computers that Microsoft released in 2009. After an unpopular release of Windows Vista (prior to Windows 7), Windows 7 was received much more favorably by critics. Activating Windows is allowing Microsoft to scan the product key you used to install Windows 7 and detect if your copy of Windows is legal. Activation is a one-time thing. Windows 7 Ultimate is a version of Windows 7 with more features than the other versions, but all builds and versions activate the same.

Instructions

1. Click on "Start," "Control Panel," "System and Security" and "System Control Panel View."

2. Look for the words "Windows Activation" and click on the link right under that, labeled "Activate Windows Now."

3. Wait for the Windows Activation dialog box to appear and when it does, click on "Activate Windows Online Now." Windows 7 Ultimate Build 6801 will activate automatically within a few minutes after that.
