How to Type a Symbol Using an X-Slim Mini Keyboard

An X-Slim mini keyboard is a type of computer keyboard that is physically smaller than its full-sized counterparts. In addition to not having a number pad, the keys are also smaller to achieve a smaller overall size. There are a number of special types of symbols that you can insert into documents using your X-Slim mini keyboard. Use the appropriate keyboard key combination in order to achieve this.

      Place your mouse cursor at the position in the document where you would like to place your symbol.

      Click "Start."

      Click "All Programs."

      Click "Accessories."

      Click "System Tools."

      Click "Character Map." This will display a listing of all of the various symbols you can insert into a document using your X-Slim mini keyboard.

      Click the icon for the symbol you want to type into your document. Once highlighted, the lower-right corner of the screen will display the keyboard key combination you need to type to insert this symbol into a document. Remember this keyboard key combination or write it down. Close or minimize "Character Map."

      Tap the keyboard key combination you found in "Step 7" to type the designated symbol into your document at the exact place in the text where you placed your cursor in the first step.
