How to Browse Privately in IE7

How to Browse Privately in IE7 thumbnail
Browsing privately prevents details of your online activity being stored on your computer.

When you surf normally, information about your browsing activity is stored automatically in the form of cookies, Temporary Internet Files, and Auto-Complete searches. Browsing privately allows you to prevent details of your online activity being stored. This is useful if you are using a shared computer and do not wish for details of your online activity to be exposed. Using Internet Explorer 8 and Windows 7, you can use the built in feature of "In-Private Browsing" to browse privately. Internet Explorer 7 does not include this feature, however it is possible to browse privately using the free "Browzar" add-on.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Internet Explorer. Search "Browzar and navigate to the Browzar website. Click on the "Download" tab, and under "Windows Style Theme" click the "Download" button.

    • 2

Click "Accept" on the "Browzar Licence." Click the "Download" button. When prompted choose to save "BrowzarWinstyle2000.exe."

    • 3

Open the application. Click "Run" on the "Open File - Security Warning" window if it pops up. Internet Explorer will now always open with the Browzar add-on which allows you to surf privately.
