How to Add a Picture to an Email Signature
To add a photo or picture to an email signature you'll need to create a basic HTML signature file. Before you begin, make sure your email program supports HTML signature files. Most email programs will support pictures in signatures, but some of the free webmail programs will not. You can find out if HTML is supported by going to the help file or the FAQ page of the program's website.

1
Create your signature file with a picture. You can do this in Microsoft Word or an HTML editor. Create a new document and add your picture and text, then save it as an HTML file.
-
2
Navigate to the email signature window in your email client. Check the help section of your email program to find this. In most programs the signature file is found in the "Tools" menu, under "Options" or "Settings."

3
Click the button to add a new signature or edit an existing one. You'll see a signature text box and an "Edit" or "Choose..." or similarly labeled button to add a file.
-
4
Choose the HTML file you created when the file menu appears. Click "Open" or "Select" to attach the file.
-
5
Look for a check box that says "Add signatures to all outgoing messages" or similar wording and check it. Some email clients may not have a box like this.
-
6
Save your changes and close out the signature window. Send a test message to yourself to view your new picture signature.

Tips & Warnings
Some programs allow more than one signature file and you can choose which file to attach to each email. If you take advantage of this, don't choose the box to add the signature to all messages.
Your recipient will have to download the file, so take file size into consideration when designing your signature. Try to keep file sizes small when sending signature images.
