How to Build Happy Bear Feet

You can make whimsical happy bear feet to wear for Halloween or a class play.

Making your own Halloween costumes can be exciting and inspiring. You can customize your costume to suit any preference. For example, if you or your child want to make a happy bear costume, you can sew the costume out of fake fur fabric to make it look realistic. You can even make happy bear feet to match the costume. These are slipcovers to be worn over any pair of shoes.

Things You'll Need

• Fake fur fabric, 1 yard
• Needle
• Thread
• Elastic, 1 yard by 1 inch
• Scissors
• Shoes

Instructions

1. Place a pair of shoes onto a flat surface.

2. Drape fake fur fabric over each shoe, covering it completely.

3. Allow the fabric to fall just to the ground, cutting off any excess with scissors.

4. Place the fabric forms upside down on the table.

5. Sew the ends of two pieces of elastic onto the bottom of each piece. Make each elastic section about 4 to 5 inches long. This will secure the fur piece to each shoe.
