How to Make Cheap Beanbags for Teenagers

You can make cheap beanbags using scraps of cloth.

Beanbags are simple, versatile toys that can be used for different purposes, including juggling, playing hackisack or playing a beanbag toss game. Although you can buy beanbags from any magic or hobby shop, it can be more exciting to make your own beanbags by hand using craft supplies. You can even make beanbags to give to family members or friends as gifts.

Things You'll Need

• Cotton fabric
• Scissors
• Dried lentils
• Thread
• Needle

Instructions

1. Cut cotton fabric into six five-inch squares.

2. Place the squares together into stacks of two.

3. For each stack of two squares, place the right sides together and line up the edges.

4. Sew three-fourths of the way around the square, leaving around one to two inches unsewn. Knot the end of the thread, and cut off any excess.

5. Turn the square right side out.

6. Fill the beanbag form three-fourths full of dried lentils.

7. Turn in the edges of the unsewn opening and sew the square closed.

8. Repeat this process until you have all three beanbags completed.
