Video games have become a booming business in the past decade. With many games being played today, some people suddenly have dreams of being a game designer. While there are colleges and universities that instruct their students on the basic and advanced skills required to make games, it is still possible to learn how to make games on your own. There is a big movement that showcases games created by amateurs. Some of these games, like the popular Cave Story, are even picked up and distributed by major gaming companies.
