You can convert your PlayStation 2 games for use on your personal computer in a few easy steps. This comes in handy if your game console breaks and you still want to play your favorite games. Learn how to create a virtual hard drive for your PS2 games that works just like a regular hard drive; you can open the game, play it and save the game data, all from the same location.

Download and install DVD Decrypter onto your computer (see Resources below). DVD Decrypter is a freeware program that allows you to create back-up ISO images. Click "Download" and follow the instructions to install the program on your computer. Click "OK" after installation to open the program.

Open your computer's disc drive and insert the PS2 game disc. Wait a minute or two for the software program to recognize the disc.

Click "Mode" and choose "ISO." Choose "Read" and click "OK." Click the "Start" button in the pop-up box. The program will create an ISO drive from the disc. Close the program when it has finished ripping the disc.

Click "Start" and choose "My Computer." The ISO disc that you just created will be located under the section for devices with removable storage. Right-click on the ISO icon and choose "Open autoplay." The PS2 game will open on your computer.
