Checking the size of the paper is one of the troubleshooting steps.

The Canon L90 is a fax machine and laser printer together in a single unit. The L90 can print up to 15 pages per minute on the lowest quality setting. It is compatible with Windows-based computers and Macintosh computers. Problems experienced when sending or receiving faxes, or printing documents can be caused by a variety of issues. Complete the troubleshooting process to identify the source of a problem and to resolve the issue.

Instructions

    • 1

Lift the document release lever above the output tray if paper becomes jammed. Lift the paper stack cover up and out. Pull the jammed paper out of the unit.

    • 2

Dial the fax number manually if "Cannot Use Function" appears on the display when attempting to use the redial function.

    • 3

Check for paper jams if "Check Document" appears on the display. Make sure the paper is not longer than 15 3/4 inches.

    • 4

Enter the fax number again if "Check Destination" appears on the display. This message appears if no fax machine is detected at the dialed number.

    • 5

Resend the document if error code "0080" appears on the display. This code means the recipient's machine did not respond within 35 seconds.

    • 6

Replace the ink cartridge if printed pages are missing lines or are excessively faded.
