How to Register a Domain With Free Hosting
A domain name is an address that will allow you to create a website. In some cases the registrar will even allow you to host a website with them free of charge, although there are still fees for registering the domain name. In most cases these are simple sites that don't provide a lot of the bells and whistles that a paid hosting company might. So these are best used as personal rather than business sites.

Select a registrar. A few that offer free hosting include, GetDotted, DotEasy, and LimeDomains.

Go to the site that you have chosen to register with and type in the domain name that you want. Click "Search" and wait about 30 seconds for it to tell you if it is available. If it is then you can click on "Checkout' and make your payment. If it is not then you will need to do a search for a different name.

Enter your payment details. You will need to pay with either credit card or Paypal. As of 2010 these registrars charge $7.95 to $25 per year for a .com, which includes the free hosting.
