How Do I Undo Table Extension Locks?
You may need a larger work area for a project that requires you to add an extension to a table. Lever- and cam-style extension locks mount to a worktable and onto an extension while holding the two pieces level for a seamless addition to a workspace. Table extension locks pull the two pieces together when locking and push them apart when unlocking.
Instructions

Cam Locks
-
1
Locate the table extension lock handle on the striker under the table.
-
2
Turn the handle 90 degrees to the right or left to open the lock. Support the table extension with the other hand. The cam-style table extension locks only secure the two sections of the table together in the center of the lock base.

Tips & Warnings
Cam locks have a U-shaped striker that allows them to be opened by turning them left or right.
Cam locks level the extension to the table height and pull the two pieces together for a smooth work surface.
Lever locks pull the extension and table together as they lock.
A lever lock pushes the table and extension apart when unlocking for easy removal of the extension.
Do not place hands or fingers in between a table and an extension when closing an extension lock. The tight closing motion can cause serious pinching injuries.
