Windows Live Toolbar allows you to search the Internet from any website.

Microsoft Windows Live Toolbar gives you one-click access to Internet search, Hotmail, Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Spaces. Other features include tabbed browsing, pop-up blocker, automatic form fill and search result highlighting. Installation requires Microsoft Windows 7, Vista or XP; a 1 GHz processor for Windows 7 or Vista and a 800 MHz processor for XP; 512 MB of random access memory (RAM) for Windows 7 or Vista and 128 MB of RAM for XP; a minimum screen resolution of 1024 by 768 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, 7 or 8.

Instructions

      Go to the Windows Live Toolbar download page on Microsoft's website. The page is linked in the References section.

      Install Windows Live Toolbar. Follow the instructions in the installer, and then press "install" to add Windows Live Toolbar. From the same installation page, you also may select other Windows Live programs to install simultaneously.

      Open the Windows Live folder in your computer's Start menu.

Tips & Warnings

  • To ensure the toolbar is visible, click "View" in Internet Explorer, then select "Toolbars" and then select "Windows Live Toolbar."
