The NEC VT540 is a digital protector that is now nearly 10 years old. However, it still has many connection options available, including the ability to connect directly to a cable or satellite receiver. With the receiver connected, the digital projector produces the image of the television content onto any surface, ranging from an actual projection screen to a blank wall or bed sheet.

Instructions

      Connect the S-video cable into the S-video "Out" port on the cable/satellite receiver. The cable connection is circular and has a multiple square connectors in the port.

      Plug the opposite end of the cable into the S-video "In" port on the NEC VT540.

      Power on the cable/satellite receiver and the digital projector.

    • 4

      Push the "Menu" button on the NEC VT540, then choose the "Input" option. Select "Video" and the cable/satellite television programming is projected onto the projection surface.
