How to Install a Dell Printer 1320 Network Card
The Dell 1323 laser printer provides a high production printing utility for a local area network. You can print form remote location using a network computer configured to access the network printer. To share the printer's resources a compatible network adapter must be installed into the printer. The adapter provides the printer with a network address that allows the network computers to see and access the printer.

Turn off the printer and any attached devices. Remove the network cover form the back of the printer.

Insert the network adapter into the expansion slot.

Connect the printer to the network with the Ethernet cable. The cable has a connector that looks like larger version of a phone line connector.

Turn on the printer and all network computers.

Install the driver CD on each network computer. The driver CD that came packaged with the printer will allow you to share your printer on the network.

Tips & Warnings
Configuring the IP address is an advanced feature that could only be done by a system administrator.
Dell printer 1320 type B does not require an additional adapter. The adapter is already integrated.
