From reading digital books to magazines, your Kindle e-book reader stores all of your digital content on its Home screen for quick access. You can even sort your digital titles alphabetically, as well as by author's last name alphabetically. Sorting alphabetically enables you to locate your favorite title or author without having to scroll and look aimlessly at your digital content. Your Kindle, Kindle Fire, Kindle Paperwhite or other Kindle model keeps the content sorted until you decide to change it.

Step 1

Move your Kindle's five-way controller upward to navigate to the top of the reader's screen and select “Most Recent First.” Tap the “Home” icon at the top of the screen, if using a Kindle Paperwhite or other Kindle model that doesn't contain a controller, and then tap “Recent.”

Step 2

Move the controller to the right one position to “Title” to sort your digital content's titles alphabetically. Move the controller to the right two positions to “Author” to sort your content's authors alphabetically.

Step 3

Tap the down arrow next to “Recent,” if using a Kindle Paperwhite or similar Kindle model, and tap “Title” to sort your digital content's titles alphabetically. Tap “Author” to sort your content's authors alphabetically.
