How to Reset a Furby 2005

A Furby is a fuzzy robotic toy that can do a number of things such as speak, move, respond to touch and communicate with other Furbies. In 2005, Hasbro released the “Emoto-Tronic” Furby toy, which has a number of differences from the original. Most notably, this Furby has an on/off switch and lacks the original Furby’s “Reset” button. However, you can still reset the 2005 model if you want to start your Furby’s development over or if run into a glitch in the Furby’s development.

Instructions

1. Turn your Furby upside down, and locate the on/off switch on the bottom of the toy.

2. Place the on/off switch in the "off" position.

3. Continue to hold the Furby upside down ,and press down on the Furby’s tongue.

4. Switch the on/off switch to the “ON” position while continuing to hold down the Furby’s tongue.

5. Turn the Furby right side up. If the Furby is properly reset, it will confirm by saying “Good morning.”

Tips & Warnings

• Resetting the Furby's memory will bring the toy back to factory defaults. Any development or language it has learned will be completely erased.
