Update your email's Internet browser.

When using the Microsoft email service Hotmail, you may find the need to refresh or update the Internet browser, as this revises the data currently being displayed on the screen. If you have received a new email message during the time the current data is shown it does not appear in the Hotmail Inbox until the browser is updated. There are several different ways you may perform the update to your Internet browser while using Hotmail.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Refresh" button in the upper left corner of the Internet browser. This instantly refreshes and updates the information in your Hotmail account.

    • 2

Click inside the URL bar at the top of the Internet browser, then push "Enter." As with the refresh button, the Internet browser automatically updates and refreshes the Hotmail browser.

    • 3

Click the "Junk" mail window. Once you exit the "Inbox," Hotmail updates the number of messages available inside of it. If additional messages have been received, the number next to the "Inbox" listing increases.
