How to View Headers in Hotmail

Email header information is the text that is included at the beginning of an email message. It allows you to trace the route that the email message took on its way to your inbox, including information about each server that the message passed through. In Hotmail, this information is automatically hidden.

Instructions

1. Navigate to Hotmail and log in to your account.

2. Click "Inbox" and open an email message.

3. Click "Actions" in the upper-right corner of the message and select "View Message Source." A new window will open containing the full email header information.
