How to Register a Private Domain Name Privately
Private domain registration hides the domain registrant's information by using a privacy company's address and telephone number instead of the registrant's. Otherwise, a domain registrant's information can be looked up using a Whois service. Registering a domain privately prevents spam and identity theft. It also prevents casual users from being able to look a registrant's personal contact information.
