How to Send Money to Haiti

Texting is one of the most convinent ways to donate money to Haiti.

In January of 2010, Haiti suffered a catastrophic disaster when it was hit by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. The earthquake, which was the largest earthquake ever recorded in Haiti, has prompted many celebrities and volunteers to send money. Organizations like the Red Cross of America and Feed the Children set up ways to help people donate money to the citizens of Haiti.

Instructions

1. Donate money to Haiti by texting on your phone. Compose a text message and type "HAITI" into the message box. Send the message to 90999 to donate $10 to Haiti. A $10 charge will show up on your next phone bill.

2. Access the Feed the Hungry website and click on the "Touching Lives in Haiti" picture. Fill out the "Help Continue Aid to Haiti" form by providing your name, address, city, state, ZIP code, the amount you will like to send and your credit or debit card information. Click the "Click to Make Your Donation" box to complete the transaction.

3. Contact Feed the Children by calling [phone]. Tell the representative that you would like to make a donation to the Haiti relief movement. Provide a credit or debit card number and let them charge the donated amount.

• There are many other foundations and organization that you can send your money to in order to donate to Haiti, such as Beyond Borders, CDC Foundation, Convoy of Hope, CURE International and AmeriCares. Access their websites to donate money to Haiti relief.
