How to Install Microsoft Mail
Microsoft Windows Live Mail is an email management software that's part of Windows Live Essentials, a free set of computer software available to Windows users. Although it is associated with the Windows Live Essentials package, you don't need to install the entire package to use Windows Live Mail. Windows Live Mail is compatible with Windows XP Service Pack 2 (32-bit edition), Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.

Download Windows Live Mail (see Resources).

Double-click the install file to begin the installation. Select "Yes" to continue if prompted by Windows.

Uncheck the box next to any Windows Live programs you do not want installed on your computer, making sure to leave the box next to "Mail" filled.

Click "Install." It may take a few minutes for Windows Live Mail to install. Do not shut down your computer during the installation.

Read the "You're almost done!" page carefully, unchecking any settings you do not want enabled. Click "Continue" to complete the installation.
