How to Remove Internet Explorer 8 & Reinstall Internet Explorer 7
Removing Internet Explorer 8 and reverting back to Internet Explorer 7 can clear up some of the issues you may be experiencing with the browser, such as it freezing frequently and hanging. Uninstall Internet Explorer 8 to automatically revert your browser back to the last version installed on your computer.

Click "Start," then "Control Panel" and "Add or Remove Programs."

Select "Windows Internet Explorer 8" from the list and click "Remove." Click "Yes" to confirm you wish to uninstall the update.

Click "Restart Now" to restart the computer.

Check Internet Explorer by selecting "Help" and then "About Internet Explorer" in the browser's toolbar. Internet Explorer 7 should now be the version you are running.

Click "Start," then "Control Panel" and "Programs."

Click "Programs and Features," and click "View Installed Updates" in the left panel.

Select "Windows Internet Explorer 8" in the list and click "Uninstall." Click "Yes" to confirm you wish to uninstall the update. Enter your administrator password if you are prompted to do so.

Click "Restart Now" to restart the computer and save the changes you made.

Open Internet Explorer and click "Help" in the browser's toolbar. Select "About Internet Explorer." Internet Explorer 7 should now be the version you are running.

Tips & Warnings
If you were running an older version of Internet Explorer than 7, the uninstaller reverts back to that version.
Windows 7 users who choose to uninstall Internet Explorer 8 cannot revert back to an earlier version of the browser. Internet Explorer is a part of the operating system. If Internet Explorer 8 is uninstalled, you must use a third-party browser to access the Internet.
