Solar Blanket Instructions
A solar blanket, also known as a solar cover, fits over the top of pool water. The cover keeps pool water from becoming cold overnight, and helps keep chemicals from evaporating too rapidly. Solar blankets come in a wide range of sizes to accommodate rectangular or round pools. The use and care for a solar blanket is a simple task. Does this Spark an idea?

Using a Solar Blanket
-
1
Unroll the solar blanket on the ground next to the pool.
-
2
Pull the cover over the pool, ensuring the bubble side of the solar blanket faces down. Stretch the cover to remove all wrinkles. Allow the cover to relax into the pool water for two hours.
-
-
3
Pull the edges of the solar blanket tight against the pool wall. If the solar blanket edges up the pool wall, cut the excess from the cover with scissors. Cut until the edges of the solar blanket lay flat against the pool water and no longer climb the pool wall.
-
4
Remove the cover by grabbing one side as another person grabs the opposite side, and slide the cover from the pool. You may also use a solar blanket reel to cover and uncover the pool.
