How to Make a Brochure on Microsoft Word Processor
Microsoft Word is a versatile programs for making a variety of documents. When the page parameters are altered, a single sheet of black document can become a tri-fold brochure. The possibilities for graphics and information are limitless and are easily tailored to a specific need or company. Using Word can eliminate the expense of purchasing a more expensive program specifically for making brochures or pamphlets for work or school-related projects.

Create a new document in Microsoft Word.

Under File, choose Page Setup and change the "Orientation" to "Landscape:". In the same window, change page borders to .5 inches for the top, bottom and both sides. Choose 0 inches for both the Header and Footer

The first page will be the inside of your brochure. Each column is where the brochure folds. The second page of the document will be the opposite side of the brochure. The left column will be the inside flap when the brochure is first opened. The middle column will be the back of the brochure. The right column will be the front of the brochure.

In each column, logically organize points and graphics to make the pamphlet visually appealing. Use lines to separate sections and display information or topic breaks. Use bullets and numbers to help organize ideas.

Print the document while correlating the front and back pages together so the brochure's print is right-side up. Fold the brochure in-between the columns.

Tips & Warnings
The same method can basically be used for Microsoft Works as well. If you search in templates, there are many ready-made brochures to customize as well.
