How Do I Insert a Floor Plan View of a Toilet in Autodesk 2007?
Autodesk 2007 is an important tool in creating a variety of drawings and representations for use in architecture and engineering fields. Bathroom design is only one of the features that can be produced with this group of software programs. The correct insertion of plumbing fixtures on a floor plan ensures the contractor will be able to read the plan easily and follow your specifications for toilet, sink and bathtub in specific places in your new or renovated bathroom.
Instructions

1
Open Autodesk 2007 on your computer.
-
2
Draw your bathroom floor plan in 1:1 scale (default scale) to your specifications. Note where you want your toilet to go so once you find the image, you can easily place it in your drawing.

3
Click "View," located two tabs to the right from "File."
-
4
Click "Toolbars," which is the last item on the pull-down menu.
-
5
Scroll down to the "Design Center" command (the list is alphabetized). Click this command and you will notice the toolbar appear on your main drawing interface, on the right side of your screen. Close the "Toolbars" menu.
-
6
Scroll to the right of your screen until you see the "Design Center" open. Click "Computer," then click "Windows (C:)," then click "Program Files," then click "AutoCAD 2007," then click "Sample," then click "Design Center," then click "House Designer.dwg," then click "Blocks."
-
7
Scroll down through the images on the right side of the "Design Center" box. Find the image titled "toilet-top." Double-click the image. A box will open with the dimensions. For you to properly scale your drawing, all dimensions should be 1:1 on your main drawing interface (which is the default sizing in this box). Press "Enter." This will put the toilet on your screen at a 1:1 scale, which represents the size in the real world. Place the floor plan view of a toilet in the desired location on your drawing.

Tips & Warnings
This floor plan image of a toilet is correctly sized according to industry standards, but it does not offer any special features or detailing. Other toilets can be downloaded from the CAD Block Exchange Network. See the Resource section for a link.
For any drawing that is not 1:1, the scaling for printing purposes will be extremely difficult because you will have to calculate all the dimensions and their respective scales. Use 1:1 scale for easy conversion to print.
