How to Polish Uncut Marble
Marble is one of the most valuable materials used in construction and interior design and is popular in kitchens and bathrooms. Polishing uncut marble can seem like a bit of a chore, but with the right materials it is a relatively straightforward process that doesn't take much time.
Things You'll Need
- Chamois cloths
- Basin
- Water
- Baking soda
- Crushed chalk
- Clean, dry cloth or towel

Dampen a chamois cloth.

Run the damp chamois over the surface of the marble and allow to air-dry.

Mix 3 tablespoons baking soda and one quart of water in a basin.

Dip a chamois cloth into the mixture and run the cloth over the surface of the uncut marble. Allow the mixture to air-dry for about three hours.

Dip a fresh chamois cloth into water and wring it out so it is not excessively wet.

Dip the the damp chamois into the crushed chalk.

Wipe the marble with the crushed chalk, covering the entire surface.

Rinse the marble with water and dry thoroughly, using a clean, dry cloth or towel.
