      Open the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel" and then "Programs And Features."

      Select the "Uninstall a Program" option and select Adobe CS4 and click on "Uninstall." The program will be uninstalled while you wait.

      Download the free Adobe CS4 Clean Script from the Adobe website. This script is needed to remove the parts of CS4 that are left behind when you do the standard uninstall. Double-click on the downloaded file to unzip it.

      Right-click on the "CS4InstallerDatabaseUtility.exe" file and select to run it as administrator. If you don't see this option, just double-click on the file to run it. You will see some on-screen prompts for the script, which you need to follow. When you get to the end, click on "Exit" to close the script.
