How to Test the Load Speed of a Website
The loading speed of a website can either make or break a moment. A website or webpage's load speed can affect their Google rankings or search engine rankings, according to the Alfa Jango website. The rankings are important, because they allow your website to be one of the first viewed pages during a search. Special websites have tools that you can use to help check the load speed of a website. Checking the loading of your website can help you see its speed and diagnose the problem if your website is slow.

Access the Pingdom Tools website and click on the "Full Page Test" tab. Place your URL into the provided text box then click the "Test Now." The website will test the provided URL display the seconds or minutes it took to load.

Access the iWebTool website and click on the "Website Speed Test" icon under the "Domain Checkups" heading. Type your domain or URL into the provided text box and click the "Check" button. A display will appear with the domain's name, size, the load time and the average speed per KBs.

Access the Link Vendor website and click on the "Website Speed Test" icon under the "Site Analysis" heading. Place your domain or URL into the provided text box, solve the calculation problem and click the "Submit" button. A display will appear with the domain's name, the speed of the website and the website's estimated load time.
