How to Remove Bubbles From a Dare Phone Screen Protector

How to Remove Bubbles From a Dare Phone Screen Protector thumbnail
A cell phone screen protector keeps your touchphone clean.

The LG Dare is a touchscreen phone that works in much the same way as the more popular iPhone. It is a good idea to get a plastic screen protector for the Dare phone because the screen is fragile and prone to scratches. The screen protector is either a sticky, clear film or a plain piece of plastic that adheres to the screen due to static. The "sticky" screens hold better, but it is more difficult to remove the bubbles because of the adhesive.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the LG Dare. Wipe the screen thoroughly with a microfiber cloth made eyeglasses.

    • 2

Hold the plastic protector up to the sunlight to see if there are any dust particles, dirt, hair or lint stuck on it. Wash the plastic screen protector with soap and water if it does not have an adhesive on one side. Dry it with a microfiber cloth or blow dryer, but do not overheat the plastic. The heat also helps melt the glue a little bit, if there is a sticky side, and make the screen protector more pliable.

    • 3

Align one edge of the screen protector with a corner of the LG Dare screen. Slowly lay it down over the screen, using the side of a credit card to press out any bubbles as you go. Do not press down too much or you might damage the screen.

Smooth the edge of the credit card over the screen after it is laid down on the Dare phone. Work your way from the center to the edges to remove any remaining bubbles.
